Because we all love cardigans! You can wear this one to work, to and from your workout or transition your tanks into fall.

  • Drop pocket open front cardigan that hits just below the hips.
  • The sleeve is fitted and designed to be worn over a sleeveless top or dress.
  • The double-layer front provides a great finish and allows the use of contrast fabric where the inside of the cardigan becomes the outside of the pocket.

A quick "instant gratification" project!

LOVE this pattern, my favourite

I just love the drop pocket cardigan, fun to sew and fantastic finish.
When I want to sew but can’t get started, a drop pocket is always right

Perfect cardigan for all ages!

I love this pattern! I don't love the written directions. I really appreciate the simplicity of them but they left me very confused and eventually I just assembled it how I thought it was supposed to be done and that left me with extra front pieces that are now just wasted fabric :( A few video and or written tutorials for your patterns would be amazing! I Googled for tutorials and found nothing! I was up til 2am trying to figure it out so my daughter could have it for school today. She loves it and I think it's adorable on her. I love all of my Jalie patterns but all of them leave me confused at one point or another :(

Finition impeccable!

The best cardigan

I have made this cardigan several times for myself and my 10 year old daughter. The pockets are ingenious, but a little hard to wrap your mind around for the first one. Now I can do it with my eyes closed. For your first one, I recommend using a fabric that has obvious right and wrong sides and is not too drapey. It's just makes it easier to orient and manage the pocket edges. Once you get the hang of it, you will want a bunch, too.

Yey for well thought out patterns!

This is my first Jalie make, and I am kicking myself for not trying this company sooner! I often have fit issues, mostly because I am a pear shape and I don't fit into one size, but also because a lot of patterns simply aren't drafted well and wearing ease is a joke. Not with this pattern! With my simple size blending (from CC at bust to EE at full hip) I was able to get a garment that fit me exactly like it fits the model in the picture, despite being clearly a different size and shape to the model. Which, let me tell you, is like finding the golden ticket, IT IS AMAZING. It was easy to put together, overall not taking very long. Some clear thought was put into containing exposed seams at the shoulders and basically anywhere a seam might peep to the right side, so my muslin cardigan looks very finished.
I found the instructions a little frustrating to follow. I loved the pictures, but I wish the description for each figure was under the figure rather than on a separate page, which required much flicking between. I had to read over them a few times before it clicked, and now that I have made it, I really won't need the instructions again. I suspect all Jalie patterns are set up this way, though this very very minor annoyance of mine will not prevent me from purchasing more, making more, and recommending more!
