FIONA Raglan sleeve leotards
This pattern will be your go-to for any dance or skating costume with a raglan sleeve.
- View A: invisible zip at center back, mock neck
- View B: invisible zip at center back, neck binding
- View C: easier-to-sew pull-on, scoop neck style.
If you wish to add a skirt to the leotards, a few patterns work well with the Fiona. Just make sure you measure the skirt length you need before cutting your fabric.
-
Tessa (example in kids size in stretch mesh). Cut as is and zigzagged on the outside of the briefs, just below the seam line
- Violeta (example in adult size in stretch velvet). Cut as is and edgestitched on the finished leotard with a zigzag, at the seam.
- 3458 half circle skirt (example in kids size in stretch mesh). Cut at the desired length. We cut on grain (instead of cutting on fold) to have side seams instead of a back seam. Edgestitched with a zigzag at the midpoint between armhole and waist seam.

I’ve made this leotard a couple of times, my favourite pattern compared to some of the other ones available. Still to make it with the zip
This was such an easy sew, considering I am a complete novice when it comes to sewing with stretch.
In addition, whenever I was stuck, the Jalie team were SUPER helpful.
Definitely recommend this pattern!
Great pattern, I have all the extensions, true to size and very versitile. This is my go to base pattern. I love that it goes up to 5XL great for my bigger skaters.
I used a mash up of a few patterns Shorts/Elizabeth and Fiona but I was able to create the look I was after. Really pleased with it.
